Using the Char’d Smoke Infuser
How does the Char'd Smoke Infuser work?
The Char’d Smoke Infuser can be used to infuse a smoky flavor that complements and enhances the flavors of many cocktails, sauces, salsas, and more.
By placing a small amount of wood, spices, florals, or other organic combustible material into the dish, setting the dish over a glass, Mason jar, or other containers, and igniting it with a culinary-grade butane torch, smoke is released and descends into the vessel infusing your creation with a smoky flavor.
How much Char'd wood chip smoker fuel should I use?
It’s best to start with just a pinch of wood smoker fuel. If too much is used, it may leave uncharred wood fuel in the bottom of the smoker. It’s easy to add more if you prefer more smoke in your creation.
Can I use matches or a lighter to ignite the fuel?
No. After extensive testing, it’s been determined that the optimal operation of the Char’d smoke infuser is achieved by using a culinary-grade butane torch like this model available online.
BE CAREFUL AS THE DISH WILL GET HOT! – Use the Char’d smoke infuser lid to remove the dish and place it on a fire-proof surface to cool.
How do I get more smoke into my glass?
The best way to get the most smoke into your glass or vessel is to use a heavy pinch of wood chip fuel and a quality culinary-grade butane torch.
Aim the torch into the dish along the edge, parallel to the slope of the dish, and torch continuously in 5-10 second bursts. Move the torch in slowly around the dish and keep the flame focused along the edge.
Multiple rounds of smoking may be needed if you desire a very high amount of smoke in your creation. Avoid removing the dish from the vessel to capture the smoke while refueling.
Are the Char'd Cocktail Smokers Made in the USA?
Yes. Every Char’d smoker is precision CNC milled from a solid billet of 6061 Aluminum right here in Denver, Colorado. The hardwood smoker fuels that are included with the kits are also sourced from a local Colorado-based woodshop.
Is this the whiskey smoker that Jeremy Siers showed on YouTube

Cleaning the Char’d Smoke Infuser
How do I clean my Char'd smoke infuser dish?
The best way to clean a Char’d smoke infuser is to wash it by hand, using mild grease-fighting dish soap. A soft sponge or pot scrubber can help with stubborn char.
Is the Char'd Smoke Infuser dishwasher safe?
No. The harsh chemicals in dishwasher detergents will tarnish the surface of the Char’d smoke infuser.
How do I care for the leather?
Wipe dirty leather clean with a damp cloth. The leather will naturally patina with use, but a light coating of leather conditioner once in a while will go a long way.
